Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: September 2026

SmartPicks is a reader-supported publication. To keep our guides free, some of the links on this site are affiliate links. This means that if you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you.

Our affiliate partners

We currently participate in the following affiliate programs:

  • Amazon Associates — As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. SmartPicks is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.
  • eBay Partner Network — links to eBay listings may earn us a commission.
  • AliExpress — "ships worldwide" links to AliExpress may earn us a commission.
  • Official brand stores — some "buy direct" buttons (for example Keychron and Akko) link to the brand's own store through its affiliate program.

Every outbound link that can earn us a commission is marked with `rel="sponsored"` in the page code.

Our promise

  • Commissions never change our recommendations. We recommend products based on the factors that matter to you — quality, value, and fit for your needs — not on which merchant pays more.
  • We call out weaknesses honestly. No product is perfect, and we say where each option falls short. A guide that only praised everything would be useless (and we'd never publish one).
  • You always come first. If a product isn't worth your money, we'll tell you — affiliate link or not.

How it works

When you click a link marked as sponsored and buy something, the retailer shares a small percentage of the sale with us. This helps fund the research and time that goes into every guide. It does not affect the price you pay.

Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255).
